Babbi is a renowned confectionary in the Emilia-Romagna region. The company was founded by Attilio Babbi in the year 1952. It was in the small town of Romagna that Attilio began to create all kinds of artisan ingredients for gelato.

Originally a maker of cones, wafers, and other special ingredients for ice cream, the Italian confectionary added other artisanal products to the company’s repertoire over the years. Today, not only do they specialize in creating gelato ingredients, but they also create creamy sweet spreads, yogurt, pralines, and various kinds of chocolate confections. One example of this is their creamy hazelnut spread, which is perfect for toasts, cookies, and various pastries.
