This lovely jar of “Pomodorini” Whole Piennolo Tomatoes: D.O.P. is from San Nicola dei Miri. The tomatoes are a specialty product from the Campania region. An artisanal product, each jar contains gorgeous Piennolo tomatoes that grow in mineral-rich volcanic soil.

Simply preserved in water, you can cook the beautiful tomatoes in its juices. Just add them to your sauce and reduce the water content over high heat.  Serve with any of your favorite pasta shapes or meat dishes.  Or if you prefer, add them as they are to you fresh vegetable salads.
